This book overthrows the idea of knowledge management and redefines “knowledge”. As to the scope of knowledge objects, the mode of knowledge classification, the knowledge processing method, and the integration mode of knowledge and business, none of them is the same with the previous knowledge management system. Based on the practical requirements of lean R&D, new ideas, new methods and new technologies for knowledge engineering are put forward, and the knowledge processing value-added is made as the core of knowledge engineering. This book proposes a three-tier architecture for knowledge engineering: from top to bottom there are a fusion layer for knowledge and R&D process, a knowledge management layer owned by the industry, and another fusion layer for knowledge and design environment.
