The Innovation and Development Conference of Tsinghua Medical Journals was held in Beijing
On January 27, 2024, the Innovation and Development Conference of Tsinghua Medical Journals was held in Beijing with both online and offline attendance.
This conference was hosted by the School of Medicine, the School of Public Health and Health Sciences, the Department of Clinical Medicine, and the Institute of Hospital Administration of Tsinghua University (TU), the Tsinghua University Changgeng Hospital, and the Tsinghua University Press. Medical journals Brain Science Advances, Cancer Innovation, Health Care Science, iLABMED, iLIVER, Infectious Medicine, iRADIOLOGY, Journal of Neurorestoratology, Medicine Advances, Stress and Brain were co-sponsors.

The conference discussed topics covering the innovative development of medical journals, quality control on academic papers, and how to increase international appeal. The participants were of strong professional background and have contributed rich expertise and insights that serve to promote the innovative development of medical journals, discipline innovation and industrial application of scientific research results and talent cultivation.
In the keynote speech session, six experts expounded on innovative ideas from different perspectives including digital health strategy in the era of artificial intelligence, technology evaluation, and publishing trends. The conference also set up a roundtable dialogue session to discuss hot topics related to journal publishing and medical researches. At the Life Sciences and Medicine Journal Cluster Summary and Evaluation Conference, experts conducted detailed and objective evaluations on the status quo, existing problems, and future development plans of the ten medical journals, and put forward practical suggestions.
