On March 25th, SUN Yu, Deputy General Editor of Tsinghua University Press (TUP), visited 4 medical experts at the National University of Singapore (NUS), including CHNG Wee Joo, Vice President (Biomedical Sciences Research) at NUS and Yong Loo Lin Professor in Medical Oncology, ZHANG Cuilin, Chair Professor of Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Director of Global Centre for Asian Women’s Health, Alfred Kow Wei Chieh, Senior Consultant of National University Centre for Organ Transplantation and Division of Surgical Oncology in National University Cancer Institute, and SHI Jiahai, Assistant Professor from Synthetic Biology Program for Clinical and Technological Innovation, NUS.
SUN Yu made a comprehensive summary of Tsinghua University Press, including TUP’s strength in book and journal publishing, continuous efforts on academic exchanges and dedication to building strong academic disciplines. Experts from NUS talked about the cutting-edge scientific discoveries in life sciences and medicine. A broad range of topics, including digital healthcare, biomedical engineering and organ regeneration, were discussed. Through the meeting, partnership was strengthened between TUP and NUS in life sciences and medical publishing and research, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
