First Title of the "China Deep Space Measurement and Control Technology Series" Sponsored by the National Publication Fund was Published

In May 2024, the first title of the "China Deep Space Measurement and Control Technology Series (Phase I)," sponsored by the National Publication Fund was published. Titled Design and Optimization for the Information Transmission System in Interplanetary Networks, authored by Wan Peng and Zhan Yafeng, this groundbreaking text ushers in a new era of understanding in deep space exploration.

The series, edited by WU Weiren, chief designer of China's lunar exploration project, an academician of both the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the International Academy of Astronautics, encompasses a breadth of technical domains integral to deep space endeavors. These include the intricate designs of deep space monitoring and control networks, radio measurement technologies, advanced communication methodologies, large-aperture antenna systemfor precise measurement and control, high-power transmission systems, ultra-high sensitivity reception mechanisms, and sophisticated signal processing techniques. Its comprehensive scope significantly contributes to the construction of China's deep space knowledge framework, enhancing the blueprint for major space initiatives, and nurturing top-tier talent in the aerospace sector.

Design and Optimization of Information Transmission System for Interplanetary Networks (by Wan Peng and Zhan Yafeng) systematically explains the architecture design method of interplanetary networks, delves into strategies aimed at enhancing communication efficiency across three pivotal tiers: interplanetary backbone networks, extraterrestrial access linkages, and surface infrastructure of celestial bodies beyond Earth. Moreover, it casts a visionary glance towards the future, predicting trends in information transfer technology and interplanetary exploration mission planning.
