The Launching Ceremony of the National Publishing Fund Sponsored Project Wu Qingyu Cardiac Surgery was Held

On May 13th, 2024, the launch ceremonyof Wu Qingyu Cardiac Surgery, a project sponsored by the National Publishing Fund, was successfully held in Tsinghua University Press (TUP). Well-known cardiologists from China, such as Huang Jinsong, Deputy Director of Cardiac Surgery Administration of Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital, Yang Xiubin, Deputy Director of Beijing Anzhen Hospital Structural Cardiology Surgery Center, and Jin Yongqiang, Deputy Director of Pediatrics Department of Heart Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Tsinghua University, etc. and Sun Yu, Deputy General Editor of Tsinghua University Press, attended the meeting. The book launch was presided over by Sun Yu.

Sun Yu first expressed warm welcome and sincere gratitude to all the experts present on behalf of the author team. She said Wu Qingyu Cardiology, sponsored by the National Publishing Fund, was officially published by TUP in December 2023. Compiled by Professor Wu Qingyu, a famous cardiac surgeon and former President of the First Affiliated Hospital of Tsinghua University, this book not only is a valuable supplement of and improvement on cardiac surgery resources, but also makes  significant contribution to the development of cardiac surgery in China and the world. It embodies the high level of cardiac surgery in China and holds great reference value for cardiac surgeons, especially for those who are young and middle-aged. The publication of this book is a milestone, representing the highest level of cardiac surgery in China. It is expected that Wu Qingyu Cardiac Surgery could play a leading role in the field of cardiac surgery theory and technology innovation, and become a classic.
