TUP Signed a Cooperation Agreement with Qingdao Yujiao Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd Regarding the Historical Records Comic Stories Series

At the beginning of September, 2024, Tsinghua University Press (TUP) signed a cooperation agreement with Qingdao Yujiao Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd. in Beijing regarding the Historical Records Comic Stories series . At the signing ceremony, both parties reached a consensus on the publication, distribution, and marketing of the series and determined to jointly promote the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese culture.

Historical Records Comic Stories series is the inaugural creation within the “Traditional Chinese Culture Comic Book Series” by Qingdao Yujiao Culture. It brings classic stories from the Historical Records to life in comic form, refining the traditional cultural wisdom contained within them, allowing readers to experience the charm of history and traditional culture in a relaxed and enjoyable manner.

TUP has always been dedicated to the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional Chinese culture. The signing of this agreement marks an important step for TUP in fulfilling its new cultural mission in the new era. Qingdao Yujiao Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd., formerly known as Manlian Animation Technology Co., Ltd., has a founder and creative team with extensive experience in comic book creation and a track record of successful comic book projects. Both sides indicated that they would leverage their respective strengths to ensure this series becomes one of the best of its kind in China, providing readers with high-quality reading experiences. The first books in the series are expected to be published this year.
