New Era · New Pattern · New Achievements | The 6th China Computer Education Conference (CECC) Convenes in Xiamen

On December 7th, the 6th China Computer Education Conference (CECC) convened at the Xiamen International Conference Center, under the theme "New Era · New Pattern · New Achievements." The event drew more than 100 prominent leaders and experts from the realms of computer science, alongside over 3,000 university faculty members and industry professionals. Attendees participated in lively discussions aimed at exploring new paradigms for computer education suited to the current era and celebrated advancements that exemplify the integration of technology and education.

The 6th China Computer Education Conference (CECC) was jointly organized by the Teaching Steering Committees for Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, and University Computer Courses under the Ministry of Education. The conference was hosted by Xiamen University, Huaqiao University, Jimei University, Xiamen University of Technology, and msup Co., Ltd., with co-hosting support from Tsinghua University Press, Higher Education Press, China Machine Press, Publishing House of Electronics Industry Co., Ltd., and Posts & Telecom Press. The event also received valuable support from leading companies such as Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Yousandi Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Alibaba Cloud Computing Co., Ltd., and Baidu Times Network Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd.

The opening ceremony of the 6th China Computer Education Conference (CECC) was presided over by Professor WU Yongwei, Secretary-General of the Computer Teaching Steering Committee for Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education and a professor at Tsinghua University. The event features an extensive program organized by four major computer teaching steering committees, hosting eight parallel sub-forums. These forums are designed to share the latest practical outcomes, exchange advanced experiences, and promote innovation and development in relevant fields. The sub-forums cover a wide range of topics, including: construction of first-class programs and high-quality talent cultivation , specialized software talent cultivation, practical cybersecurity talent cultivation , artificial intelligence general education, higher education reform and development driven by large AI models, large models and digital teaching, system capability cultivation and talent evaluation with full-stack integration and special virtual teaching rooms for the “Intelligent Base” program under the Ministry of Education and Huawei.

Since its establishment in 2019, the China Computer Education Conference (CECC) has successfully convened six times, attracting over 20,000 participants cumulatively. The conference has emerged as a pivotal support and driving force for Chinas computer education and industry. It serves not only as a high-quality exchange platform for experts and scholars in the field of computer education but also as a catalyst for promoting the high-quality development of Chinas computer education sector. By facilitating in-depth discussions and collaborations, CECC injects robust momentum into accelerating the formation of new productive forces in technology and education. This contributes significantly to ushering in a new era for Chinas computer education, propelling it towards higher levels and superior quality development goals.
