Tsinghua University Press Delegation Visits Headquarters of Clarivate

On March 13, 2025, a seven-person delegation from Tsinghua University Press (TUP), led by President ZHAO Xin, visits the Clarivate headquarters in London, United Kingdom, at the invitation of the company. Nandita Quaderi, Senior Vice President of Clarivate, Anna Treadway, Executive Editor of the Web of Science (WOS), and Chirag Turakhia, Senior Director of Clarivate, extend a warm welcome to the delegation and engage in discussions.

Both parties have extensive discussions on academic publishing, information retrieval services, and scientific research collaboration. President ZHAO Xin provides an overview of recent TUP developments, with a particular focus on the increasing global reach of academic journals and the digital transformation efforts. He also praises Clarivate for its leadership in providing global research information services. Nandita Quaderi shares the latest advancements at Clarivate in areas such as research data analysis and subject trend forecasting, and expresses a strong interest in future opportunities for collaboration between the two parties. SUN Yu, Deputy General Editor of TUP, outlines key aspects of TUP’s journal publishing and introduces SciOpen, a platform independently developed by TUP. Both parties also engage in detailed discussions on topics such as standards of journal review, methods for obtaining data for the WOS, and strategies for enhancing journal impact. This visit not only has deepened the understanding and friendship between the two parties but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.
