In his sixties, the artist Liu Hongkuan created a 50-meter-long Chinese painting. Based on his childhood memories, with field sketch and historical documents researching, from south to north, he revives the sceneries, figures and things around Beijing central axis in his painting. Those streets, shops, sceneries, old city gates and walls become alive again in this painting. Regarded as the modern Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, it presents such a magnificent picture that the audience could almost touch the history.
