Life seems like a collection of stories; every step we take will be written into our life story. In China, the primary school composition is mostly narrative writing, but what to narrate and how to narrate? The answer is to narrate our life. Whoever writes interesting stories must be an interesting person, and such kind of person will shun from a boring life. When asked to write, most kids feel they have nothing to express, since life is no more than odds and ends and they can hardly come across big events. The reason why they think like that is because they have no sharp eyes to see through things around. Writing is an outward expression of thinking; “being thoughtful and observant” is a good habit this book tries to instill in children.
