Table of Contents
This book firstly elaborates on the principles of popular machine intelligence technologies – deep learning and reinforcement learning. On this basis, it explains how AlphaGo defeated Go masters by combining deep learning and reinforcement learning technologies. Then it argues to translate the theory of deep learning into practice, gives an example of how to make voice-controlled intelligent hardware with the TensorFlow and Keras deep learning frameworks; and in the meantime gives an object detection case based on machine vision, for the purpose of guiding readers to employ deep learning step by step. The main feature of this book is practical operation, so there are rich pragmatic cases in it. This book can be used as a guidebook for senior undergraduates and others that interested in machine intelligence.

Chen Zhen is Director of the iCenter Intelligent System Laboratory, Tsinghua University; and an advisor of the Student Research Train Program (SRT). He has been engaged in teaching and studying the Internet, data management and intelligent system.

Zheng Wenxun is now working at Alibaba’s headquarters in Beijing. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Basic Sciences from the Department of Physics, Tsinghua University (2011-2014), and later received his Master’s Degree from Tsinghua’s Department of Automation (2014-2018).
