Thanks to the deep integration of the new-generation IT (e.g., mobile Internet, big data and AI) with the manufacturing industry, the new concept of intelligent manufacturing has finally come out. Starting from this new concept, this book describes how the new-generation IT penetrates into, supports, impacts and integrates with the traditional manufacturing enterprises, and the challenges and opportunities it has brought to the manufacturing industry, as well as the transformation of manufacturing model, development of manufacturing system and modeling methodology. Then it introduces the technological system of intelligent manufacturing (including the products, manufacturing process, management and service, basic and fundamental technologies in this domain), the web-based intelligent factory architecture and inter-enterprise cooperative framework. There are also details about the composition of and modeling methods for intelligent manufacturing system, and corresponding key technologies.
