This book systematically discusses the theory and algorithms of very large scale integration routing design under non-Manhattan architecture and introduces relevant definitions and research status of very large scale integrated circuits. Moreover, it offers prospects for future research directions. The book focuses on constructing Steiner tree algorithms of non-Manhattan architecture considering factors such as wire-length-driven, delay-driven, single-layer obstacle avoiding, multi-layer obstacle avoiding, and Slew constraints. It designs several effective strategies, including hybrid transformations, multi-stage transformations, preprocessing, local processing, integer linear programming, and partitioning, creating various efficient non-Manhattan routers. The book also introduces swarm intelligence techniques applied to very large scale integration routing problems.
