This book is based on the author’s years of research in urban ecological planning, restoration, and management. It establishes a composite ecological driving force index system for the social, economic, and natural aspects of the ecological space changes in the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration, along with an ecological space quality evaluation model. It reveals the driving mechanisms behind the ecological space changes, elucidates the interdependent relationship between the ecological space quality in the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration and population distribution characteristics. The book also introduces a zoning framework for the ecological space in the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration, proposes zoning control strategies, and develops methods and models for identifying, evaluating, and optimizing the ecological infrastructure system in the region.
