This book systematically reviews the investigation and practice of innovative paths and models for intangible cultural heritage (ICH) by the Tsinghua University Academy of Arts & Design—BMW Innovation Base for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage over the past sixteen years. It does so from perspectives such as cultural genes, maintaining integrity while innovating, brand narratives, and industrialization exploration. Using case studies of works co-created by ICH inheritors and Tsinghua Academy of Arts & Design faculty, the book showcases the achievements of integrating ICH into modern life in China. It aims to provide valuable references and paradigms for the protection and innovative inheritance of ICH in all sectors of society. Additionally, it seeks to inspire and set examples for the cultural tourism and ICH industries, industry chains, research institutions, and academic and research institutes, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the cultural tourism industry and related sectors.
