Recently, the Journal of Intelligent Construction (JIC) — supervised by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, co-sponsored by Tsinghua University and the China National Committee on Large Dams(CHINCOLD), and published by Tsinghua University Press—was officially accepted for indexing in Scopus, the world's leading academic database. This follows a rigorous selection and evaluation process by the Scopus Content Selection and Advisory Board (CSAB).
All articles published since JIC's inception in 2023 will be fully indexed in Scopus. This achievement attests to JIC's international academic recognition in terms of scholarly quality, editorial standards, and international impact. Furthermore, the journal has been selected for the "China's STM Journal Excellence Action Plan" as a "High Starting Point New Journal", and is currently indexed in several prominent databases, including INSPEC, DOAJ, EBSCO, and Scopus.
As a comprehensive international journal focusing on the field of intelligent construction, Journal of Intelligent Construction (JIC) primarily publishes high-quality research papers, reviews, and case studies regarding the application of advanced technologies—such as machine learning, intelligent sensors, Building Information Modeling (BIM), robotics, 5G, and the Internet of Things (IoT)—across the full life cycle of engineering sectors including water conservancy, structural, geotechnical, and transportation engineering (encompassing planning and design, construction, operation and maintenance, and disaster mitigation and demolition). The journal aims to assist the construction industry in achieving digital and low-carbon transformations. This inclusion in the Scopus database serves as international recognition of JICl's academic achievements since its founding; it will also accelerate JIC's integration into the global academic system and promote the cross-border dissemination and deep collaboration of cutting-edge results in the field of intelligent construction.
Journal of Intelligent Construction follows a rigorous peer-review process, providing fast, efficient, and high-quality publishing services dedicated to the publication of high-level research achievements.
The inclusion of Journal of Intelligent Construction in Scopus would not have been possible without the long-term support and contributions of authors, peer reviewers, and editorial board members worldwide.
