On the morning of 9 October, Dr. SUN Yu, Associate General Editor of Tsinghua University Press(TUP) and Dr. ZHAO Qingyuan, Publisher of the Journal Center at TUP visited De Gruyter Brill's headquarters in Berlin, Germany, for working talks with Suzanne Mekking, Head of Life Sciences and Vice President, STEM journals. The two sides exchanged views on deepening cooperation in STM book and journal publishing.

During the meeting, Mekking outlined De Gruyter Brill's overall development, its STM business layout, and the latest progress in journal publishing and international cooperation. Dr. SUN shared an overview of TUP's development and reviewed the history of cooperation between the two sides. TUP has long been committed to high-quality academic book publishing, with strengths in fields such as information technology, science and engineering, medicine, economics and management, and the humanities and social sciences. It has also actively developed English-language academic journals and launched the open access publishing platform SciOpen, forming a coordinated business structure encompassing books, journals, and digital products. With a shared vision of promoting the global dissemination of academic content, the two sides have cooperated on copyright since 2015 and have successively introduced dozens of English-language academic monographs by Chinese scholars to professional readers worldwide.

The two sides exchanged views in depth on topics such as collaborative development of academic content, expansion of author and reviewer networks, and publishing platform cooperation. Both parties shared practical experience in scholarly publishing and explored avenues for future cooperation, laying a solid foundation for practical collaboration going forward.
