On January 9, 2026, Antonia Pop, Vice President of the University of Toronto Press (UTP), visited Tsinghua University Press (TUP) for a meeting. Attending the meeting from TUP were SUN Yu, Associate General Editor, LAI Wenqiong, Director of the International Cooperation Department, and editors from the Computer & Information Technology, STEM, HSS, and Life Sciences & Medicine editorial divisions.
During the talks, Antonia Pop outlined the distinctive publishing landscape and core focus of UTP, along with a detailed presentation of its recent achievements in both academic and trade publishing. In turn, TUP editors presented a selection of high-quality titles across several key areas including core textbooks from the "101 Project" and the New Generation Information Technology (Artificial Intelligence) series, acclaimed works in materials science, bestselling titles in economics and management, and newly released publications in medical science targeting general readers. The meeting concluded with discussions on potential future collaborative projects.
This visit marked as a step forward in deepening mutual understanding and broadening the scope of cooperation between the two publishers. It is expected to contribute to the global dissemination of scholarly works and high-quality titles.
